Research by scientists from ASU (Arizona State University) and University of Cape Town suggest that humans might have used fire to create tools 45,000+ years prior to what we once thought. This was determined by studying 70,000+ year-old stone weapons found in the region of South Africa. There is also evidence that the process of using fire to build tools might even be over 160,000 years old, though more research is required. Read more in this Friday’s edition of Science journal.
