ABC and Reuters are reporting that U.S. Democratic Senator Chris Dodd has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The disease is said to be treatable, either with surgery or variations of radiation therapy. Dodd has been a strong proponent of the U.S. healthcare reform. He had taken over the role from Senator Ted Kennedy (D) when the latter was diagnosed with brain cancer.
