Cliff Lee of the Cleveland Indians – and defending American League Cy Young Award winner, was awaiting confirmation this morning of his alleged trade to the Philadelphia Phillies. However, the latest reports (LA Times) indicate that Lee has in fact been sent to the Phillies, along with outfielder Ben Fransisco. The Indians get four minor league prospects in return. the prospects include Carlos Carrasco and Jason Knapp. The Indians earlier decided that Toronto Blue Jay’s Roy Halladay was too expensive and stopped pursuing him.
